24 The Fragrance in the UAE has a home-grown story most shoppers never hear. The line was created by ScentStory, a Dubai-based perfume company, and the first bottle was launched in Dubai in June 2009. It was made under a licence from Twentieth Century Fox and inspired by the TV series 24 and its lead character, Jack Bauer. Today, V Perfumes carries the range online, with original, sealed bottles delivered anywhere in the UAE.
The range is easy to shop once you see how it's laid out. There are two main lines, Gold and Platinum. Each comes in three versions: the original EDT, an Oud Edition EDT, and an Elixir, which is an EDP. Then there are two standalones, Elixir Ambrosia and Go Dark. So which one suits the UAE heat? Start with the Elixirs, as they carry more fragrance oil than the EDTs, so they're the better bet for a long day in Dubai or a wedding in Abu Dhabi. The EDTs wear lighter, which works for the office or a quick errand. Go Dark is the only bottle made just for men, and you can compare it to our full perfumes for men collection before you decide. The easiest way in is to pick your line first, Gold or Platinum, then choose the fragrance concentration.

Yes, it started in Dubai. ScentStory, the Dubai-based company behind it, launched 24 The Fragrance at Mall of the Emirates in June 2009. At the time, it was billed as the first selective fragrance designed and developed in Dubai. The Gold, Platinum and Go Dark lines came later.
Pick an Elixir. Gold Elixir, Platinum Elixir and Elixir Ambrosia are all EDPs, a stronger concentration than the EDT versions, so they usually hold longer through a hot UAE day. Spray your wrists and neck, and don't rub it in.
Mostly both. Seven of the eight bottles V Perfumes offers are unisex, and Go Dark is the one made for men. That makes the range an easy gift in the UAE for Eid or a birthday.
