4711 Original Eau de Cologne is a unisex cologne first introduced in 1792, and its bottle has kept the same design since 1920. At V Perfumes, it is available in 100ml, 200ml and 400ml, alongside the rest of our 4711 range.

Bergamot, lemon, petitgrain, orange and acai berry open it, then neroli, rosemary and rose form the heart, and a single note of musk sits underneath.

Five of the nine notes are in the top, and four of those are citrus. That's the classic cologne build. Bright, fast, front-loaded. Two of the notes come from the same tree: petitgrain is made from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree, and neroli from its blossoms, so the orange character runs from the opening into the heart instead of vanishing with the top notes. Rosemary adds a green, herbal edge, and rose keeps it soft. The base is musk alone. No woods, no vanilla, no amber. Once the citrus and flowers fade, very little is left.
