YSL Y EDP is composed by perfumer Dominique Ropion, and at V Perfumes it is available in 60ml, 100ml and 200ml alongside the rest of our YSL perfumes.

Bergamot, apple, ginger, elemi and aldehydes open it, juniper, sage, lavender and geranium make up the heart, and the base is vetiver, olibanum, tonka beans and amberwood.

The aldehydes give a sparkling, clean-laundry lift, more common in classic women's perfumes than in men's, and here they make the apple and ginger feel crisp. The heart is four herbs and one flower, the old barbershop combination of lavender, sage and geranium, with juniper adding a gin-like bite. Then the base turns darker. Olibanum is frankincense, a resin with a dry, smoky edge, and it sits with earthy vetiver, sweet tonka and amberwood. So Y EDP moves from fresh to herbal to smoky-warm.  YSL Y Le Parfum is another, richer version of Y.
