The French fashion designer Edmond "Ted" Lapidus was known as "Ted." He was born in Paris. His father was a tailor who came from Russia and was Jewish. At one time, Lapidus was thought to be the first person to design clothes for both men and women, and he is credited with bringing the military and safari styles into haute couture. He is known as the first designer to put shoulder straps in a military style on clothes for both men and women.

After working as an apprentice for Dior in 1951, Lapidus started his own fashion label in 1951. He got huge fame among French celebrities, including Brigitte Bardot and others.

Creation de Minuit is a floral and fruity scent for women, made by Ted Lapidus. 2015 saw the start of Creation de Minuit. Blackberry, green apple, and bergamot make up the top notes. The middle notes are made up of Black Rose, Heliotrope, Ylang-Ylang, and Night Blooming Cereus. Plum, White Musk, Cedar, and Vanilla make up the base notes.
