Pick up any Alexandre.J bottle, and you'll see where a lot of the effort goes. French designer Alexandre J launched his brand in 2012, and his flacons are dressed like jewelry, with mother-of-pearl, glass stoppers, enamel medallions and pearl details. Alexandre.J Perfumes at V Perfumes in the UAE cover a wide spread, from musks and roses to oud and saffron, and woody scents make up the biggest share.
Two bottles make an easy starting point. The Majestic Vanilla comes from the 2020 Art Deco Collector line and was made by perfumers Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel. It opens with cinnamon, mandarin and bergamot, moves into galbanum, tonka and peach, then settles on labdanum, vanilla, amberwood, patchouli and musk. Fair warning: it's greener and spicier than the name suggests, so don't expect a sugary vanilla. Majestic Nard, from the 2022 Art Nouveau collection, is woody and spicy. Pink pepper, incense and galbanum lead into saffron, cedar and nard, with sandalwood and patchouli underneath.
If saffron and incense are already part of your routine, Majestic Nard will feel familiar, and it suits Eid evenings and weddings well. For more houses with the same collector feel, browse our niche perfumes or our unisex perfumes.
Online at V Perfumes, with delivery to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and every other emirate. Each bottle arrives original and sealed, and cash on delivery is available on selected products.
French designer Alexandre J, who started the brand in 2012. He works with outside perfumers and artists on each line. Collections on our shelves include The Majestic, the numbered D'artistes scents from E1 to E5 and the Oscent trio in Black, Pink and White.
Most of them are. Our filters list 18 unisex scents, 8 for women and 3 for men. The Majestic Vanilla and Majestic Nard are both unisex, so couples in Dubai or Abu Dhabi can share a bottle. The three men's picks are D'artistes E1, D'artistes E3 and Oscent Black.
Yes, mostly because of the bottles. They're decorative enough to sit out on a dresser, which makes them an easy gift for Eid or a wedding. Pick The Majestic Vanilla for someone who likes spice, or Majestic Nard for a saffron and incense lover.
