It starts with pear blossom, tangerine and red berries. The middle is all white flowers, gardenia, jasmine absolute and frangipani. Patchouli and brown sugar sit at the bottom.

Here is the odd part. The name says gardenia, yet it is classed as fruity first and floral second, and the pyramid backs that up. All three top notes are fruit or fruit blossom. Gardenia also gives almost no usable oil, so perfumers usually rebuild it from other materials, and since jasmine absolute is the one true flower extract named in the heart, a good share of the white flower effect you notice on skin probably comes from the jasmine and not the gardenia at all. Then look at the base. Two notes. No musk, no wood and no vanilla listed. The dry-down is short on structure and long on sugar. If you want a gardenia perfume that ends heavy and creamy, look elsewhere.
