Chanel Coco Mademoiselle eau de parfum has been part of the house's women's line since 2001, when Jacques Polge composed it.
Orange opens it. Jasmine and rose form the heart, and patchouli and vetiver carry the base.
Chanel names only five materials for this fragrance, and that short list says a lot. The family is given as ambery, yet none of the five is amber or vanilla, the notes people usually expect behind that word. The warmth comes from the base instead, where patchouli and vetiver do a similar job: both are earthy and woody notes, so together they give the dry-down a firm, slightly dark backbone under the flowers.
