Dior Sauvage EDT is the eau de toilette in Dior's Sauvage line, composed by François Demachy, who was Dior's Perfumer. It is a men's fragrance in the aromatic fougère family, and at V Perfumes it sits with the rest of our Dior perfumes in 60ml and 100ml.
Calabrian bergamot opens it, juicy and sharp. Ambroxan takes over in the heart, a material the brand describes as derived from ambergris, and it gives the woody trail. That's the full list.
With two named notes, one per tier and no base listed, neither has anywhere to hide. Bergamot carries the opening alone, and once it fades, ambroxan is what you're left with. Ambroxan is slow and long-lasting, so even though it sits in the heart here, it does the job a base note usually does. One name causes confusion: Dior Eau Sauvage, which is a separate fragrance, not another version of this one.
