Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc is the men's eau de toilette most shoppers simply call the Lacoste white perfume, named after the brand's white polo shirt.
Rosemary, cardamom and cedar open it. Ylang-ylang and tuberose form the heart. Virginia cedar, leather, suede and vetiver make up the base.
Three things in that pyramid are worth knowing. The heart is made entirely of white flowers, ylang-ylang and tuberose, which is unusual for a sporty men's scent and explains why the middle feels smoother and creamier than the herbal opening suggests. Cedar shows up twice, once at the top and again as Virginia cedar in the base, so a dry woody line runs through the whole wear from first spray to last. And the base pairs leather with suede, two notes from the same family: suede is the softer, brushed version, which keeps the finish clean.
